MATERIALS

Gabion. Size: (mm) 100-200mm (4-8 inches). Description: quarried material with sub-angular faces. Uses: landscape, retaining walls, slope stabilization, pond retention and erosion control.

19mm Clear II. Size: (mm) 19mm. Description: clear stone with most sizes between 5mm - 20mm, with very little to no dust fractions. Both quarried or gravel sources. Uses: used as a drainage stone around weeping tiles, footings, watermains, and under slab on grade concrete applications

Armour Stone. Size: “One-Man/Two-Man” up to 2 tonnes. Description: quarried product produced through specified blasting technique yielding a blocky texture. It’s known for its unique colour. Uses: Residential and Commercial Landscaping as retaining walls, erosion control, slope retention, waterfalls and feature garden pieces

RIP RAP. Size: (mm) 200-450mm (8”-18”)450-750mm (18”-30”)300-600mm (12”-24”). Description: Quarried material with sub-angular faces. Uses: slope stabilization, storm retention ponds, erosion control, shoreline protection.

Large Armour. Size: 3-6 tonnes. Description: quarried product produced through specified blasting yielding a blocky texture. Uses: erosion control, creek rehabilitation, retaining walls, storm retention ponds, slope stabilization, and shoreline protection.

19mm Clear. Size: (mm) 19mm Description: clear stone with most sizes between 5mm - 20mm, with very little to no dust fractions. Both quarried or gravel sources. Uses: used primarily as a drainage stone and in the production of hot mix asphalt.

Screenings. Size: (mm) Dust particles to 6.7mm. Description: graded product consisting of mostly fines with 40% balance of chip-like producto. Uses: park pathways, block and brick production

Road Base. Size: (mm) 38 mm to fines. (1 ½” to fines). Description: it consists of a mixture of crushed material in 60% coarse material and 40% fine material. Uses: constructing roads, driveways, parking areas, paving substrates or anything paved

Man Sand. Size: (mm) 4.7mm to 0.07mm (Mesh #4 - #200). Description produced from hard basalt stone by crushing with cubical shape and grounded edges. Uses: production of asphalts, production of concrete, as a substitute for natural sand.

Armour Rock I. Size: 20 - 200 kgrs. 200 – 600 kgs. 600 kgrs – 1.2 Tonnes. 1.2 – 3 Tonnes. Description: quarried product produced through specified blasting yielding a blocky texture. Uses: erosion control, creek rehabilitation, retaining walls, storm retention ponds, slope stabilization, and shoreline protection.

Gravel for Concrete. Sizes #57 #67. Description: clear stone with most sizes between 4.75mm – 25 mm, with very little to no dust fractions. Both quarried or gravel sources. Uses: used primarily for high-strength concrete mixes, usually densely reinforced structures, prestress/pre-cast products and for asphalt wearing and surface courses.

Gravel for Asphalt. Sizes: Grade #1 Grade #2 Grade #3 Grade #4 Grade #5 Description: clear stone with most sizes between 4.75mm – 25 mm, with very little to no dust fractions. Both quarried or gravel sources. Uses: used primarily in the production of hot mix asphalt.

Basalt Powder. Size: (mm) Under mesh #100. Description: produced from hard basalt stone by crushing. Uses: as a natural fertilizer in agricultural and fruit applications.

Rail Road Ballast. Size: (mm) 61 mm to 18 mm (2 ½” to ¾”). Description: is the material which forms the trackbed upon which railroad ties (UK: sleepers) are laid. Uses: it is used to bear the compression load of the railroad ties, rails, and rolling stock; to facilitate drainage.
